Brandon A. Shindo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, entrepreneur, and thought leader in culturally responsive mental health care. As Co-Founder and CEO of K&B Therapy Inc., he leads a California-based practice committed to accessible, identity-affirming care for diverse communities.
A fourth-generation Japanese American and Los Angeles native, Brandon brings over a decade of clinical experience grounded in systems-based, anti-oppressive framework. He holds a B.A. in Psychology and Asian American Studies from UCLA and an MSW from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
As an Asian American male, entrepreneur, and first generation graduate-level college graduate in his family, he has experienced the complexities of navigating life transitions, cultural/racial identity, finding and embracing healthy masculinity, the acculturation process, and the stress of trying to find a balance between success and happiness in today's complex world. Hence, he combines his personal experiences with his professional knowledge, in order to help and support others. His innovative approach blends evidence-based therapy with cultural humility, aiming to empower clients and inspire the next generation of wellness professionals.
Brandon is also a sought-after speaker and mentor, recognized for his work at the intersection of mental health, racial identity, and leadership development.
